In the winter time it can be difficult to keep your carpet clean especially if you have pets in your home. Fido probably spends more time indoors and consequently spends more time shedding indoors. Your little furry friend most likely will track in more mud and dirt in the winter. These two issues have very simple remedies that will make you, your pets and your carpets happy and healthy. To tackle pet hair and dander dry to brush your pet a few times a week. This will help keep their coats looking nice and and minimize shedding throughout your home. This can also be a good bonding activity for you and your pet. Also remember to vacuum often. Vacuuming is one of the most important things you can do to maintain your carpet. To help fend off those unwanted muddy paw prints tracking up your freshly cleaned carpet try to put a runner or area rug by the door. A runner or area rug will capture much of the dirt and mud stuck to your dogs paws. Another approach would be to wipe off your dogs paws when they enter your home. This will take some practice with your dog but they should become use to it in no time at all. Comments
